1 pound spools of thread from any mill almost never weigh one lb. Some are fat and some are skinny depending on the mill's spooling. We charge you for the number of ounces that you actually receive.

Note: Special colors are available upon request but may require a minimum order.

How to Calculate the Total Number of Stitches in a stitch pattern (with a Safety Margin) needed for a required breaking strength:

Stitches needed in pattern = Specific Breaking Strength required divided by Breaking Strength of Thread being Used

Total Stitches with Safety Margin = Stitches needed in pattern + 20%

Example: Using Size 69

= 1,000 lb Required Strength / 9.50 lb. Strength of TH69

= 105.26 + 20% Safety Margin

= 126 Stitches Required
